During school half term breaks and summer holidays I arrange for groups of children (7-11 year olds) to participate in urban drawing and illustration exploration classes.
I love engaging children through drawing and storytelling to help them grow their creative potential. If I have helped a child feel more confident about their artistic skills and made them giggle, it's a great day! My favourite age to work with is primary school children (7 to 11) year olds. These children have imaginations that are still growing, their storytelling is epic and their energy is boundless.
I am Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked, Paediatric First Aid trained and have over 15 years experience of working with children and young people both in a voluntary and paid capacity (references available). Sketch & Scoot is fully insured and all other staff members are DBS checked.
My classes and mentorship sessions are safe spaces for children to experiment with different art skills, imaginative creation and drawing from life. The classes are designed to strengthen your child’s dexterity, creative thinking and problem-solving, as well as boost their confidence and support their well-being.
It is open to all young artists but not solely restricted to those who deem themselves creative. Everyone is warmly encouraged to come and have fun. The session includes drawing games, quick fire sketches and lots of observational urban drawing.
