After completing an MA in Children’s Illustration and Graphic Novels I now dedicate myself to working with clients and nurturing other creatives. I specialise in working with 7 to 11 year olds and conduct online art classes both in a 1 to 1 capacity and in pairs. In London, I conduct ‘Sketch & Scoot’ events in the local area (please see the dedicated pages for information) to nurture drawing skills and encourage children's creativity.
I am Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked, Paediatric First Aid trained and have over 15 years experience of working with children and young people both in a voluntary and paid capacity (references available).
My mentorship sessions are safe spaces for children to experiment with different art skills, imaginative creation and drawing from life. I like to collaborate with the young people I am mentoring and find out what interests them. I then tailor my weekly classes to what they would like to explore whilst introducing artistic skills such as: colour, perspective, scale and drawing techniques.
My classes aim to strengthen your child’s dexterity, creative thinking and problem-solving, as well as boost their confidence and support their well-being.
Potential Topics covered (depending on your child’s interests): Use of colour / The natural world / Constructed landscape / Objects and the everyday / Person and portrait / Image and Text / Storytelling and illustration / Comic/Cartoon creation
